The week in links #10/2010

The new look of the Center of software in Lucid Lynx

The Center of Software of Ubuntu is taking form in appearance to be to tone in the new presented branding a few days ago and this way an apprehension of the same one is seen in Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx today.

It is possible to see that the paragraph of Features Aplications has been separated of between other categories (now it is this orange button that is seen below of the title) in the left we see the category Associates of Canonical, of which he had already commented to them on something.

Software Center Lucid Lynx, new suggested software, and new category

The changes in the version Alpha de Ubuntu 10.04 Show Lynx they are daily, every day there are updates in the system, some interns proper of the heart of the system and others how in this case visible.

Today categories have joined to the Center of software Ubuntu, now when we open the paragraph “to Obtain Programs” we can see the category “Canonical Partners“ (still without icon) in that they are for the time being Adobe Flash Plugin and Acrobat Reader.

Also one has added more software to the category “Features“ being a whole of 19 programs the lists here.

Do I wonder, that another Software should go in the category Canonical Partner? Were flash and Adobe Reader in the repositories Medibuntu, Google Earth will be e.g. also in this paragraph?

Calendar Ubuntu 10.10

We are still fluttering the innovations that there will bring Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx and Canonical has already revealed the date of issue of Ubuntu 10.10 (still without name), the final version will go out on October 28, in contrast to the version at present in development Ubuntu 10.10 alpha will have 4 versions, a beta and Relesase Candidate before the final version, let's remember that in Lucid Lynx 2 betas and the RC are 3 alphas.
